HOW IT ALL STARTED

The ball started rolling in 2007 when Glenn Keeley introduced the sport to Sharples School, where a number of kids use powered wheelchairs. He has seen the benefits and fun that all kids gain by taking part in sport and becoming part of a team.
A group of lads quickly became adept and joined the West Midlands League in 2008, after they had decided on a name - Bolton Bullets.

WE GREW

As we progressed Bolton Bullets entered teams into both the North West Powerchair Football League and in the WFA National League Championship.

WHAT IS POWERCHAIR FOOTBALL?

Powerchair Football is a sport providing a rare opportunity for people who use electric wheelchairs to access a fast paced game of competitive football.  It doesn't matter what your age, disability or gender, everyone is welcome.  Because it is a team game, it helps build key life skills such as teamwork and communication let alone improving self-esteem and confidence.
Powerchair Football also creates a great social environment for both players and their families bringing strangers together, creating friendships and bonds which can last a lifetime.

HERE TO STAY

Playing to Win

Our success is shown by the distance that some of our squad are prepared to travel to be part of the Bolton Bullets. We have players who come to training every week from Liverpool, Blackpool, Burnley and Warrington.

We are affiliated to both Lancashire County FA and the WFA, whose insurance covers our activities. In September 2012, we were awarded the FA Charter Standard Club status.

Come and see us.
